Little London Community Primary School
Little London Community Primary School in Leeds has over 400 pupils with over 50 staff providing a happy school in which their pupils are encouraged to become considerate and responsible members of society.
The Challenge
The growth of the school over the past few years saw an increase in use of their printing equipment. This resulted in increased paper wastage and uncoordinated printing across the board. The challenge was to carry out an audit with the aim of halving its daily paper usage, which would ultimately result in significant savings.
A Better Way
We used its expertise in print management to make recommendations to the school and installed specialist software, which tracks and controls usage, while improving the print habits of all users, resulting in less wasted paper and fewer colour copies.
The systems we put in place have saved Little London Primary School a cumulative total of more than 7,500 sheets of A4 paper over the last 12 months and further reduced its impact on the environment by the equivalent of 1000 bulb hours and 20kg of C02 emissions.
As well as reducing its impact on the environment, Little London has saved more than £700 on its print costs during the same period, and the managed print solution is now fully cost neutral. The software also provides security features that validate print access through swipe cards and unique user names and passwords.
